Two Months

(ignore the post-trip laundry in the back ground waiting to be put away)

Two months already! We took Elye Kate to her two month visit this week and, unfortunately, she got her first set of shots. She cried big tears and turned beat red immediately. As soon as she was safely in her car seat she fell fast asleep. The rest of the night she was in a baaaad mood. I ended up swinging on the front porch until she passed out in my arms.

At two months Elye loves to sleep in her swing and the Moby wrap. She will sleep in her crib too, but she doesn't want to every time. We are currently working on that. Still not sleeping through the night! She eats at around 8:00, 2:00 or 3:00, and then 5:00 or 6:00. Elye has begun playing on her own, which is basically laying on her back watching her toys hanging above her while kicking her feet and flailing her arms. She hates tummy time, but I try to make her suffer through it anyway. She is smiling much more. Mornings are the times for Elye's biggest smiles, but we are now lucky enough to see them throughout the day too. Although, she has lots of smiles now she still has her serious look the rest of the time.

Reesi continues to be a great big sister, except when she decides to scream in her face to scare her or shake her little bobble head. Reesi does share her love for Andy. Well, not the real Andy, but Andy's baby. Occasionally, when I go in and check on Elye sleeping I find baby Andy laying right next to her. I think Reesi wants her to have her own little Andy to love.

Two Month Stats

Weight: 9 lbs. 6 oz. (8 percentile)

Height: 21.5 inches (10 percentile)

Head Circumfrance: I lost her sheet and I can't remeber what it was! I do remember it was around the 10th percentile. Hopefully, I will find the paper and come back to edit.
