Cousin's Candy

My mom, sisters, and I had a yard sale last Saturday when our subdivision had a neighborhood sale. Reesi has tried several times to have a candy store in her room so I thought this would be the perfect chance for her to have her dream. Grace came up with the name "Cousin's Candy," the girls made signs, and we all went to Sam's the night before. We had a pretty high overhead so the girls only ended up making about $6 a piece, but that still had a blast. My favorite part was watching Reesi wipe her table down. She would smile and pick everything up, wipe, and then put it back down. She looked like a real store owner. I think one day she should own her own candy shop. It would be the perfect job for her.

Reesi at 6.5

Reesi, at six and a half you . . .

-love school, your friends (I think you said you had 26 best friends), and your teacher.
-hate making mistakes and getting in trouble, especially be your dad. You almost had to move your clip at school on Friday for touching the plants when you weren't supposed to.
-you love plants and animals. Unfortunately, your mom loves neither of those!
-live in your black tank top. If your not in your school uniform then you are probably in your black tank top. This season I am only buying you a couple outfits and they have to be ones you pick out. This way I know you will actually wear them!
-have started being shy when it comes to talking to adults you don't know. We're working on that.
-lost your second bottom tooth. Of course, Mrs. Cline pulled it and you didn't make it home with your tooth again! Luckily, you left it at a friend's house this time and they brought it back to school the next day.
-want to learn how to play the flute, guitar, piano, and saxophone.
-wake to your own alarm clock. Nice!
-can have conversations with me that make me feel like your a grown up. You are really acting old.
-are such a joy and blessing in our life. I hate to see you grow, but I can't wait to watch it and pray I can be there every step of the way.

E. @ 16 Months

Elye, at 16 months you . . .

- have started going to "school" two times a week and you are actually taking a nap on a mat. I am shocked!
- are beginning to repeat everything. It doesn't always sound like what you are trying to say, but at least you are trying.
-like to ruff, moo, meow, roar, baaa, neigh, and my favorite, cock-a-doodle-do or as you say it d000-a-d0000.
-have learned how to climb up our tall chairs.
-still like to pull your sister's hair and smile.
-hate the car ride. I have given up on toys to keep you happy and have resorted to the DVD player mixed in with some books.
-love your milk(soy) and have to have your fix three times a day, but you will only drink it out of your Born sippy.
-when you poop or sometimes pee you will pull on your clothes and say, poo-poo. Then you walk into your changing table. You even like to sit on the potty now. Of course, once you're up there you have no idea what to do and you just sit and smile.
-still love to dance and be outside, but I think that's every baby.
-give the sweetest kisses!

F L O R I D A

Here are a few of the pictures. I got tired of loading them on blogger so check facebook for a few more.

Three Day Weekend? There's no better excuse for a quick trip to Florida! We loaded up the car with Poppy and headed down to Navarre to see the Hardings. Reesi absolutely loves going to Florida. When she's not sleeping she is either in the pool, hot tub, or at the beach looking for shells. Elye was not a fan of the beach or the sand that came with it, but she loved Maggie and Macy, the dogs. It was over before we knew it, but well worth the drive.
