Gymnastics

Elye has walked on her tiptoes for ever.  A friend, who's a gymnast, recently told us we need to put her in gymnastics.  We took her advice and started her in October.  She has loved it and has already perfected her cartwheel, which she does anywhere and everywhere, all the time.  Her coach says she is a natural and is working on getting her into their invite only class.  She bounces the whole time she is there and it puts her in the best mood.

Halloween!

This Halloween Reesi decided we should have a family theme.  We let Elye choose her costume first since we knew she would be the difficult one.  She chose Batgirl.  Reesi was Robin, Larry Batman, and I was supposed to be Catgirl.  I found Larry's costume at a yard sale for $5 and I ended up just borrowing a Wonder Women costume when Elye decided to switch to an old Wonder Women costume that we've had in our dress-up bin for years.  Halloween night we pulled out Larry's costume from the bag for the first time.  It was hilarious.  We couldn't find the cape and mask, and it was huge.  Larry said it was for a short, short man that weighed 400 pounds.  We got our family picture and then Elye changed into bunny ears and a bunny tail that she got at Wal-mart that day for $2.  So much for our big family theme.
