Navarre Beach

We headed to Navarre Beach for a long weekend. It was perfect weather, which it seems like it's always raining when we go down there. Our days consisted of beach, pool, Tommy's Snoballs, eat fish, in that order. We mixed in some Putt-Putt and Pensacola Surf Burger, but that was about it. It was the perfect weekend!

More Birthday Time

Reesi also celebrated her birthday with a birthday dinner at Mimi and Papoo's house. It was supposed to be a birthday bonfire, but the weather didn't cooperate and we had massive storms predicted all afternoon. Reesi's school even closed early. On the way out there Reesi and Larry stopped at a gas station because of the storms and actually saw a funnel cloud in the distance. Reesi was terrified and crying when she got to Mimi and Papoo's. Luckily, it missed us and the party went on.

Surprise!

Reesi has always wanted a surprise party so we decided last minute to give her one. We set it up for Sunday afternoon at Goofballs. I said I had to go grocery shopping and you dad was taking you to Goofballs for a fun birthday afternoon. You had no clue at all! When you first walked in you were just shocked and quiet, but then you started acting like your crazy self. It was so fun to watch you with your friends! Being a surprise definitely made it a better birthday party!

Reesi, at 8 you

-love school, especially reading, but hate practicing math facts.

-are so good with your sister, most of time. She makes you play doggy and you always read books to her in the car.

-still like to try and sleep in our bed. You usually end up in our bed two or three nights a week. Luckily, we have a big bed and your pretty sweet and cuddly when you sleep.

-are still one of the shortest, smallest girls in your class. The other day you put on some of Elye's 3T shorts and they fit you perfectly.

-have a pretty healthy diet. I wish I ate like you. Your favorite snacks are fruit, you rarely eat bread, and aren't crazy about desserts. Your weakness is candy!

-have the sweetest heart! Your school is raising money to build houses in Honduras. The day you got your big envelope to raise money with you were fired up! You wanted to go house to house asking for money. I talked you out of that, but then you had another idea. You made flyers to put in mailboxes asking for donations to be sent to our address. It's been almost a week and you still check the mail everyday looking for donations. You're just in shock that nobody has sent money yet. You also got $10 in the mail from your grandma for your birthday and you put it straight in the Honduras envelope.
