The Big Bounce and the Big Crash

Reesi's cousin, Sophia, was in town for the week and celebrated her birthday at Pump It Up. Reesi had a blast. She went crazy jumping and going down the slide. She even got adventurous and slid down sideways and on her belly. Reesi is usually so cautious so it was hilarious to watch her go 100%. However, it came to a crashing halt. I am not sure what really happened, but somehow she skinned her hand during a fall and tore off a teeny, tiny bit of skin. You would have thought her hand was broken by the amount of crying that was done. She didn't stop until it was time to eat. Even after that, any time we tried to talk about it, she started crying and made us stop.

One of the funniest parts was when we were leaving and Sophia came over and gave her a party favor, a magic coloring book and markers. Reesi screamed out, "She gave me one of her presents! She is the best cousin ever!" Even with the boo-boo she had a great time.

She ate her cotton candy so fast. She kept shoving it in her mouth and it was gone in ten minutes.

Favorite Color Day

While Reesi refused to pull her "knee socks" up to her knees. She did humor me for a picture and pull them up, but then she pushed them right back down.

Today Reesi got to wear her favorite color to school today and, best of all, she got to bring a toy that color. We had planned on a pink sequins, flapper dress, but when I told Reesi that she might be the only one in a dress up outfit she changed her mind. She went with blue, which was a surprise. She did say that Lyla would love it(Lyla's favorite color is blue). So we went with a blue outfit and Reesi's blue Calico Critter bathroom set. She was in the best mood this morning and ready for school!!

Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom

Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom, Will there be enough room? Enough room that is in Reesi's stomach. In kindergarten this week we are reading Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom. Tomorrow my class will be making Chicka Chika Boom Boom trees out of celery, peanut butter, and letter cereal. Of course, this meant Reesi got to make one tonight. I had no idea she would love it so much. She ate two huge stalks of celery and made one for her lunch tomorrow. I am excited that I found another healthy snack for her! Boom, Chicka Rocka!

Reesi Just Hit the Jackpot!

This past Saturday Reesi hit the jackpot. One of Larry's baseball families, the Hardmans, was generous enough to give Reesi some of their daughter's old toys. One of Reesi's favorites among these toys was a shoebox full of Polly Pockets. There were eleven dolls, tons of clothes and accessories, and about a million pairs of shoes. She has put many hours already playing with these dolls. It is pretty much all she did all weekend long. So thanks Hardmans!! You made Reesi's week!

A Little Bit of the Week

This morning Reesi woke up wanting a turkey sandwich. Gross, I know. Since I had just made her cereal I made her make it herself which she loved. Of course, Reesi doesn't eat the bread, just the turkey, but she did make a pretty good sandwich.

Preschool project: Reesi started preschool this past week and had to decorate this circle with pictures for her classroom. This is right down Reesi's alley. She did it all herself, even cutting the people out of the pictures. I didn't think to take a picture when she was done, but even though some of the pictures were upside down and sideways it was pretty good.

Reesi was not in the mood for pictures before school. This is the best there is. She really was happier than this about going to preschool.

Andy went to preschool too, of course. Reesi is removing the barrette I put in her hair to put in Andy's hair.

Reesi is going to my sister's preschool this year so Reesi and Lyla are getting some major quality play time before and after preschool. They do play well together, but still have their share of fights. Jenny was telling me the other day about some of their fights. One was about who had to pee the baddest. Another was because Reesi refused to play "Mimi and Papoo" with Lyla and as Lyla handed her a toy she said, "Here you go, meanie." Another was when Lyla criticized Reesi singing and this was all in one day!

Reesi's first picture she brought home from preschool.

Reesi is also into cleaning again. She says she is going to do all the work. I only have to have two jobs: teaching and cooking. She has such a sweet heart and loves her mommy so much. I wonder how long her cleaning will last?
