Happy Birthday Reesi!

I can't believe but Reesi just turned eleven.  I just wish I could freeze her right now.  She is fun, sweet, responsible, the whole package!  Larry jokes with her that she works all the time because she loves projects!  She wakes up on Saturdays and starts working right away on all kinds of crafts: doodle books, painting, sketching, making friendship bracelets, or whatever fun stuff she got for her birthday.  She completely takes care of her school work on her own and got 5 As and 1 B (spelling, her weakness) on her report card.  She has the funniest, giggliest, personality.

For her birthday we had a party with Karen, Terry, and Granny and Papa.  Karen cooked and even invited Jenny and her family as a surprise.  She got a huge art kit that she loved!!

Then we had a family party with my side of the family.  She got more crafty stuff so she was in heaven!

Then that weekend she had a sleepover with her White House friends.  I went to meet them that afternoon and didn't tell Reesi where I was going. She thought we were just running errands. She was super excited when she saw Ella, Baleigh, and Molly Claire get out of the car.  We came home and later that night Larry took all the girls, including Elye to the mall.  Then they went shopping with the money they made from the spa at New Years.  They took their money and invested it back into their company.  Apparently they had a blast shopping.  And I thought they went to bed at 11:00, but then I wake up at 2:00 in the morning and they are playing truth or dare!!!  Crazies!!

The next afternoon Reesi had a spa party with friends from school.  Ella, Bayleigh, and MC helped us prepare everything and get it ready.  At the party everybody made salt scrubs, sugar scrubs, lip balm, and body butter with essential oils.  And if course, four square at the end of the party.

Spring is Here!

Yesterday was the first official day of spring but today was even better than yesterday.  The girls worked outside from about 1:00-5:00.  They stayed in the drainage ditch in the front of our yard making onion soup for the rabbits. Lilly and Robert spent now of the day down there working with them.  Coach Kelly and his family came over around 4:00 and his two oldest joined in the onion soup making party.  Jackson and Carly came over to grill and Lilly and Robert stayed for dinner.  After dinner Jackson hit a record of about 26 pogo stick jumps.  Then all the adults and kids played four square until dark.  It was a great way to celebrate spring!

Spring break

Larry took off to Florida with a bus full of baseball players for spring break so Jenny and I took the girls to Louisville for a short trip. We went to the Louisville Slugger Museum, Glassworks Factory, the Science Museum, and Schimph's Confectionary Store.  Our favorites were the Glassworks place where we got to watch glass artists at work.  Then we created our own art with cut glass.  The hotel pool was also a favorite. We would end each night at the pool and with a good dinner.  We spent the last day shopping at the outlets before heading home.
