I Made You Breftist

That what I woke up to this morning. I little face in my face whispering, "I made you breftist." She says it just like her daddy used to say it.
She then proceeds to tell me, "I had a little trouble." The cereal is on the top shelf of the pantry. She likes to try to climb the shelves to get what she wants. On this trip the Frosted Flakes came crashing down.
"Are you mad? I tried to clean it up, but maybe we could clean it up as a team."
How can I be mad at that?
I did enjoy my Frosted Flakes before I cleaned it up. I am just glad she didn't attempt to add milk.
I love this little girl!

Gatlinburg- Finally Done with Pictures!

While in Gatlinburg Reesi discovered Gem Mining. She did it at Dollywood and on the last day she wanted to do it again. I had planned on taking her to the Aquarium so we asked her which one she would rather do and without question she wanted to mine again. At the last place we mined they had a jewelry store inside and would turn your gems into rings. I thought it was a great idea, but Reesi wasn't interested. She just wanted a rock collection. She has had so much fun playing, sorting, and counting them. This one is her favorite!

This is her big bucket to mine.

Larry really got into it. He would help Reesi match the rocks up to the ones on her card to identify them.

Larry's cool new shades for $10. We bought them at first to be funny, but I think they grew on him and he actually likes them now.

One morning Larry took Reesi to see the mountains while I stayed home with Elye for a nap. I didn't even think about it being cold up there and Reesi was freezing. She wasn't really into the hiking part of Gatlinburg, maybe next time.

The Alamo

This is the group picture that is missing Parker. It is to the right of me holding Elye. How can you cut out a whole person?

I'm not sure what this sad face was about, but its pretty sad:(

This is where Elye spent most of her vacation, in the Moby Wrap. As soon as I would put her in she would go fast asleep. It was a lifesaver!

Reesi is showing off her pictures she did.

While we were in Gatlinburg Granny and Papa Snoddy took us all out to eat at the Alamo. It was amazing food. After dinner we tried to get some family pictures. We even asked this nice lady to take our photo so that everyone would be in it. It wasn't until the next day as I was looking through the pictures I noticed that she totally cut Parker, who was holding Elye, out of the picture. We never did get everyone together again for the picture. Bummer!!

Andy's Adventures

Reesi is always telling stories about Andy. Recently, after visiting some snakes at The Aquatic Critter Reesi let us know that about Andy's experiences with snakes. She tells the stories like they actually happened. Here is her most recent story.

One time Andy killed a spotted little baby snake. Then her mommy came and she bit Andy.
Andy runned away and found me. I put a bandage on her.

Westgate Water Park

Reesi winning the race

Elye sleeping by the pool

This is Meemaw's feet flying into the air as she shot out of the slide.

Enjoying the hot tub
While in Gatlinburg we stayed at Granny's timeshare, Mountain Loft, but Granny, Papa, Meemaw and Papa Van stayed at Westgate. Westgate is huge, beautiful, and still expanding. But the best part about West Gate was their indoor water park. I loved it because that meant no sunscreen application!! Reesi loved it too! It had two big slides, a pool, lazy river, two enormous hot tubs, and two children's' areas. Reesi spent most of her time in the hot tub, pool, and lazy river. Reesi and Larry would race around the lazy river and Reesi would win again. Do you see a pattern here? She did put her face in the water, but never went all the way under. She held tight to her tube and had a great time!
