Easter

We spent Easter lunch at my parents house. On the way there, Annie puked all over my clothes. Before we took pictures, of course. After we ate we walked over to their neighbors for an Easter egg hunt. Lyla won the prize this year for collecting 84 eggs!

That night we went to Larry's mom's for dinner and another hunt. This time there was money in the eggs! Reesi collected over $8 and that sweet girl put every bit in her Honduras envelope. Love her!!!!
If you look carefully at some of the pictures you will notice that Elye has some tattoos. During church I Elye finally went on Larry's side and I actually was enjoying getting to pay attention to the sermon. Five minutes later I look over to see Elye laying in the pew while Reesi is using a pen to tat her up as the lady next to us looks on horrified. There were tattoos all up her arms and legs. You might think that Larry didn't notice, but no. He noticed. He just thought it was a great way to keep Elye quiet. Party pooper me made them stop immediately. So Elye starts yelling, "I want Reesi to give me tattoos!" It all went down from there. Happy Easter!

Lots and Lots of Eggs

We dyed Easter eggs at my parents this year. We ended up with a little too many eggs, but it kept the girls busy for a while. At the end of the dying, Reesi accidently dropped an egg and we realized that I had forgotten to boil one dozen of the eggs. So now we had to look through the other six dozen dyed eggs to find them. Did you know you can tell if they are boiled or not by spinning them? Reesi spun every one of those eggs and finally tracked down the bad dozen. It was a beautiful day and the girls (and the dogs) enjoyed spending all day dying eggs, picking rocks out of the garden, stealing my camera from me for a photo shoot, sucking up a million worms from the bottom of the pool, swimming in the freezing water, and playing in the new tree house. They never want to leave the farm!

I Never Knew Poop Could Be So Exciting!

Elye has been "partially" potty trained for a while now. The only obstacle standing in our way was the poop. I wrapped up a big pink present to bribe her with. Didn't work. I followed her around the house like a hawk trying to catch her in action. She's pretty sneaky. We played iPad on the potty waiting for it. It never came. Finally, Elye decided it was time. . .

We were spending our spring break in Florida and it was late afternoon-her prime time. We put in bed for some quiet time while Larry, Lesli, and I enjoyed sitting by the pool. Suddenly, Elye runs out and said, "I pooped on the potty!" I roll my eyes thinking, "yeah, right," but follow her inside for her to show me. Sure enough, there's poop in the potty, a little on the seat, and a trail in her pull up. I could not believe it! After that she has only had one or two accidents in her pants! However, every time she poops on the potty she still sneaks off and does it. Then she runs out, bare booty, and proudly announces, "I pooped on the potty!" I guess this girl likes her privacy! It just goes to show that no matter how I bribed her or what I did, I couldn't make her poop on the potty. She waited until she was ready and then took care of it herself!
