Our Sporty Girl

This was silly day at camp!

Oops, that one got by.

These are her cheers for her team!

This was her booty shake in the air. She thinks she is sooo funny!

Her flips

False sense of confidence. She doesn't have a chance!

This is her running away from the ball yelling, "I don't want that!"

Her sporty girl pose
Last week Reesi went to sports camp at her school. We weren't sure how she would do since, to put it in Reesi's words, she is a "girly girl." But by the end of the first day she said that she is also a "sporty girl" now. The first day she got socked in the head with the kick ball and some one's hockey stick busted her lip, but she still couldn't wait to go back the next day. She was such a big girl walking into the school on her own with her lunch and bag. She met some incoming kindergarten girls like her. Towards the end of the week I forgot her lunch. So when I dropped it off I came a little early to get some pictures of my sporty girl. She was playing football in the gym when I arrived. Well, she was actually cheering and dancing on the sidelines with a high school girl. I encouraged her to actually play so into the game she went. She mainly laughed running around in circles and sliding on the gym floor. Someone did try to hand the ball off to her, but she yelled, "No, I don't want that!" When I asked her about it she said she just wanted to play defense. Next, was soccer. As soon as she got on the field she declared that she would be goaly. Luckily, she got a little help because the net was huge! Once she got bored with guarding the goal and talking to the other goalies, she paused to show me her flip. Then she went to play the field. Reesi didn't do much playing, but she did stick her booty in the air and shake it around trying to make me laugh. Reesi laughed and played the whole time with such a carefree attitude. I don't really care if she is ever all that "sporty" as long as she enjoys her self as much as she did that day.
