This Saturday I woke up with an eye the color of a beet. Reesi and I hit a couple of yard sales, but then I looked in the mirror and my eye looked worse. After a trip to CVS minute clinic and about 2 1/2 hours at Wal-mart seeing the eye doctor(mine was closed) and waiting on a prescription, I found out that I have a ulcer on my cornea.
Of course my contacts had to come out, but it wasn't that simple. My vision is incredibly bad and I cannot function without glasses or contacts. The problem was that my glasses were in my car with Larry out of town. So my only option was to take out the left contact and try to function with sight in only one eye. It was driving my crazy seeing clear in one eye and blurry in the other. I am quite resourceful and my solution was some new special glasses. I punched the lens out of some sunglasses for my good eye and covered the bad eye with black paper. My own special eye patch. It looked ridiculous, but Reesi was kind enough to tell me that she thought it looked good.
Luckily, I finally got in contact with Larry and he told me that he had hitched a ride with someone to the baseball game that was out of town and my car was at Red Lobster in Hickory Hollow. Eric volunteered to watch the girls and Jenny drove me to my car. Once I got my glasses it really wasn't near as bad. It even gave Jenny and I an excuse to go to Steve and Barry's where everything was $8.98! After a new pair of shoes and two shirts things were much better. Thank goodness for a sister nearby.
