Week 1

The Water Table

Elye, at 12 months you . . .
-aren't walking yet, but are now using your walker and walking around holding our hands.
-are still sensitive to dairy, which means soy milk and everything dairy free. Not fun.
-say bye and hi. Today at the doctor you said hi to everybody that walked in and of course, you smiled at them as always.
-are such a happy baby. You are usually smiling and are happy to be dropped off in Sunday school class.
-are a pretty good eater, but you have your favorites: green beans, watermelon, strawberries, pasta, and rice.
-still love your bottle. We'll work on that over the next several weeks.
-will give hugs and kisses and lay down when we say, "go night, night."
-take a good morning nap from around 10:00-12:30, but have started fighting your afternoon nap. You will take one about half the time.
-got a new water table for your birthday. You splash and dip your hand in the water and then lick it to drink the water.
-do not like to be still for long at all. I am looking forward to you walking so you can get around on your own outside and in public places.
-sleep from about 7:00/7:30 pm -6:30/6:45 am
-love to be chased around our bed. You laugh so hard and throw your body down on the bed.
-are constantly jabbering.
-have learned how to protest. This is usually a scream that occurs when we bring you inside from playing or take something away from you.
-weigh 18 pounds and 5 ounces (10 percentile)
-are 28.5 inches long (25 percentile)
-have a head circumference of 17.32 inches (15 percentile)
-have such a fun personality. You are learning so much every day and are beginning to mimic everything. I love to watch you try to brush your hair (see Jenny, I do brush my kids hair. How else would Elye learn that!) You have been such a fun addition to our family and I can't wait to watch you grow this next year.
