One Last Who-Rah

Summer is officially over for this family.  Larry and I start back to work next week and Reesi starts kindergarten the following week so Jenny and I wanted to take the girls for one last summer field trip.  We went to the marionette show at the downtown library for Cinderella.  I had never been before and was impressed.  Reesi loved it and is already asking to go again.  After the marionette show we headed to the Bicentennial Mall for a picnic and to play in the water.  When Lyla saw the water she said, "Is this all there is?"  For a girl of her caliber it was not adventurous enough, but they had a good time anyway.
Andy joined us for Cinderella.

I thought this picture would be really cool if there was a really profound quote on the wall, but all we got was . . . the people of Tennessee have a right to unpolluted waters.
Elye Kate beat the heat in the shade.

She passed out for a little bit.

Of course, after a hot day in the sun we needed ice cream.
Elye Kate just wanted to chew on her burp cloth like always.

It was a great way to end the summer.
