Reesi has wanted a trophy ever since they passed them out in her gymnastics class. She only got a ribbon because you have to be enrolled for one full year to get a trophy. When Lyla quit gymnastics I asked Reesi if she still wanted to go and she said she did because she wanted to get her own trophy. Larry, however, wanted to save some money and drop the $60 a month gymnastics bill so he told her he would get her her own trophy.
That was about six months ago and he finally came through. Tonight his 11 year old baseball team won a tournament and Reesi got her trophy. She didn't care that it had a baseball boy on it or that it was second place. She loved it anyway and immediately began shining it. So much for the lesson of hard work and dedication, but this was definitely cheaper than the $720 gymnastics trophy!
