Living History Museum

This February Reesi's grade had a living history museum.  Reesi chose to be Sally Ride.  She had to research her, write a report, memorize the report, and make a presentation board.  Reesi was fired up about the project and stayed on top of everything.  I was so proud of how hard she worked and how well she did.  She could not wait for this day to come!

Happy New Years!

Larry planned a New Years trip for the family this year.  He took us through the hills of Tennessee to a cabin in the woods in the middle of nowhere.  I don't even remember where we were!  We made several stops along the way.  We stopped at the oldest general store in TN ( I think) and at Alvin C. York's House complete with a hike to a swinging bridge.  Our friend, Daniel, brought his kids and his boat up to stay with us and the big kids went fishing and caught our dinner.  On the way home we stopped at the 3rd biggest water fall in Tn or in America or something like that.  Larry and one of his adventures!

-have really started listening to music.  In the car you and Elye always take turns picking the next song.
-are still little. Weigh- 54 lbs. Height- 50.5 in. and  wear a size 1 shoe and size 8 pants still hang off of you!
-giggle. a lot.  All your friends say that you will live until you are 1,000 because you laugh so much.
-like to sleep in our bed.  Not every night, but its your favorite thing to do.
-are still the healthiest eater.  You love fruit.  I gave you a bag of Cheetos for snack at my school one day.  You wouldn't eat it because you wanted an apple instead.  So I ate it.  I need to eat more like you!
-are a good friend.  You have so many friends and will be friends with anyone.  And you make them all laugh because you are so silly!

Happy Brithday Reesi

I cannot believe that my baby girl just turned nine.  You know your child is growing up when they start having slumber parties for their birthday!  We first celebrated with my parents, sisters, cousins, and Meemaw at our house.  We ate too much homemade spaghetti, made my dad hang the massive mirror that has been in my garage for the last five years, and played Wii in Reesi's newly decorated room, which was our birthday present to her.

For her friend birthday she had eleven girls over.  They ate, danced, played Wii, made Duck Tape purses, and screamed more than I ever expected.  Lydia told ghost stories, which freaked out several girls.  They watched Ramona and Beezus, which made several girls cry because it reminded them of when their dog died four years ago!  Girls are so crazy.

Bed time was also fun.  Isabella faked sleepwalking and another got up playing tricks on the sleeping girls by pouring water in their beds.  Whew!  It was exhausting for me. I put a limit of 3 girls for the next sleepover and took a big nap the next day.  Reesi had a blast so I guess it was all worth it!
