We finally got our snow days! We woke up Monday morning to ice. There was a little snow on the ground but it was covered in ice too! Let the sledding begin! We went out twice that day and then Reesi and Larry went night sledding until 10:00 with the neighborhood kids.
Tuesday we woke up and did it all over again. Our neighborhood has the best hills for sledding. It's so fast that Reesi wears her softball helmet going down! Around dinner Jenny, Eric, and the girls came to sled. They couldn't make it up our neighborhood hill so they parked at the bottom and walked all the way to our house. Lyla and Larry had a pretty bad wipeout into the ditch about halfway down the big hill. After they headed home we went to the neighbors for a bonfire and more sledding. The kids all headed to our house for a movie around 9:00 while the we stayed and Larry and Robert took a scary night ride.
Wednesday was another inch of snow and we went out two more times but it was much colder. That afternoon Larry went to school and got his radar gun. They waxed up the sleds and tested them out. Top speed was 22.1! No school again tomorrow so I guess we will do it all over again.
