Am I Seeing Double?

A couple weeks ago the beloved Andy went missing. Fortunately, Reesi was happy to just go get a replacement. A quick trip to Phillips Toy Store and the problem was solved. While at the toy store we found out the Andy has been discontinued and we got the last one at the toy store. I decided that I better find a spare Andy on the Internet just in case we ever needed another. So the other night Reesi was ready for bed and Andy was hiding somewhere in the house. I was too lazy to search every corner so I pulled out the spare and did the old switcharoo.

Reesi went right to bed, but ten minutes later she emerged and said in the saddest voice possible, "Mama, Andy's head shrunk." She was right. Andy's head somehow looked a little different.

After several minutes of conversation I finally said, "Well, Reesi, you will have to just love Andy no matter what she looks like."

As she quietly went back in her room she said, "I'll never give up on Andy."

But that night she had a hard time going to sleep and continued to tell us that she was worried because Andy's head shrunk.

The next morning we found the original Andy and switched them back before she woke up. She was very happy to find out that overnight Andy's head went back to normal.

Today, we showed her that there were two Andys and the the shrunken head one was a spare. However, she decided that she needed two Andys and that they would have so much fun playing together. I guess this means I need to search the Internet again for an Andy without a shrunken head.
