Might as Well Face it, She's Addicted to Candy

Happy here because she was getting ready to go trick-or-treating for candy.

Sad here because she couldn't eat candy for dinner.

Halloween is no longer one of my favorite holidays. It is simply not worth the battle over the candy. Reesi is and has been for a while addicted to candy. She woke up the morning after Halloween and began searching for her candy immediately. That evening Reesi and I came to blows over the Halloween candy. I, being the horrible mean mom, would not let her eat candy for dinner. I know, totally unreasonable of me. Reesi decided to fight back. She ran to her new hiding place in the corner behind her bed and sat. I don't know how long it took me to realize it was so quiet in the house, but I knew where she was. I went to find her.

She claimed she was never coming out until I let her eat candy for dinner. I called her on her bluff, said okay, and walked away. Reesi would then call me back in there and she would reiterate how she was not coming out. This went on a couple times until she realized the battle was over and she was defeated.

Luckily, now the sweets are gone for good and I am so excited to move on to Thanksgiving and Christmas, which are much better holidays in my book.

That's such a funny story. I'm addicted to candy, too. So sad I know. Hope you are feeling okay! Reesi is just so cute and sassy...where does she get that?

I hid the candy. Oddly enough they never realized their buckets were empty! Reesi is probably too smart for that though! Candy for dinner would be a great idea - like eating turkey leftovers for a week...you could add it to everything!
